Healthy Organic Darjeeling Tea Recipes

Darjeeling Tea is known as the Champagne of Teas and is delicious on its own. However, there are plenty of ways to make it even better. 

Darjeeling Tea at its most tasty

The unique flavour of Darjeeling Tea can be accentuated by a range of fruits. One you should definitely try is peach. 

Organic Darjeeling Green Tea with Peaches 

Ingredients:
5 tsp of Organic Darjeeling Green Tea
4 cups of fresh sliced peaches
Optional: 1/3 cup of granulated sugar

Place 5 tsp of Organic Darjeeling Green Tea into a large bowl and pour 8 cups of 80C warm water over the loose leafs and let them float, steep the Organic Darjeeling Green Tea for 2-3 minutes and strain the loose leafs. At the same time place the peaches and the optional sugar in a large saucepan containing 1 cup of water. Bring the saucepan to the boil, then simmer for around 12 minutes until the peaches are very soft. Pour the peaches and Darjeeling tea together and let the mixture cool to room temperature, then place it in the fridge for 2 hours. Strain the solids out, then serve with ice cubes. This will serve 8 people. 

Refreshing Darjeeling Tea Recipe to help you lose weight

A number of studies have concluded that green tea helps with weight loss. This Melon and Mint recipe brings that to the fore, as melon is also widely known for its weight loss properties. 

Ingredients:

2 tsp of Organic Darjeeling Green Tea 
1/2 cup of melon 
4 tablespoons of chopped mint leaves 
Optional: 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar

The directions for this are largely the same as the peach drink. Brew the Tea in a bowl with two cups of water and the rest of the ingredients in another, then combine them and mix well. Cool the drink in the fridge for two hours, then strain it and enjoy chilled.
